  Brief itinerary : Hanoi - Halong Bay - Hue - Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta

Detailed schedule 

Day 1 : Hanoi arrival
Arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi. Transfer to the city center to check-in in hotel. Free time for taking some rest or getting first impressions of the city by yourself. Welcome dinner in local restaurant and overnight in hotel.

Day 2 : Hanoi, orientation tours - Ninh Binh - Tam Coc

Visit to Hanoi which is one of the most beautiful cities in Asia by its charming streets, colonial architecture and countless interesting monuments.

Depart in the afternoon for Ninh Binh to visit Hoa Lu, the last relics of the ancient capital, and Tam Coc ("three caves") also called Halong-Bay-On-Land. Overnight in hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 3: Ninh Binh – Halong Bay

Transfer to Halong Bay while passing the heart of the Red River Delta with magnificent green rice fields. Upon arrival at Halong City, embarkation on private boat to make a cruise in the bay of the dragon, with more than 200 limestone islands scattering up from the emerald water. The boat will stop for swimming or visiting limestone grottoes on the bay before going back to boat station by the end of afternoon. Overnight in hotel in Halong City.

Day 4: Halong – Hanoi – Hue

Return to Hanoi and transfert to Noi Bai Airport to take off for a short flight to Hue, the former capital of Vietnam (1802 -1945 under Nguyen Dynasty).

Full afternoon to discover the imperial history by visiting Forbidden Citadel. The rest of the day free to visit the Dong Ba Market. Overnight in hotel in Hue.

Day 5: Hue – Danang – Hoi An

Depart for Danang in the morning by the well-known and stunning Mandarin Road. Visit to Cham Museum before continuing the trip up to Hoi An.
Recognized by UNESCO as being World Cultural Heritage, Hoi An used to serve as an active port of trade with the Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese and Chinese people during the 17th and 18th centuries. Visit to Japanese Covered Bridge and the Tan Ky ancient house in the old quarter. Overnight in hotel in Hoi An.

Day 6 : Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh

Transfert to Danang Airport to take the short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, excursion to My Tho in Delta Mekong. This region is formed by nine tributaries of the Mekong River and is often referred as the ‘rice bowl’ or the ‘garden from heaven’ of Vietnam. Embarkation on a private boat for sailling to Dragon Island. Visit to some home-run workshops and listening to traditional ‘Cai Luong Folk’. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon. Overnight in hotel.

Day 7 : Ho Chi Minh – Departure

Leisure time until transfer to airport to take your flight to leave Vietnam.
